Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade

I am proud, excited and shocked to announce that the team at Corrosion Resistant Materials Ltd have been approved by Her Majesty the Queen to receive a Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the UK. The awards were first established in 1965 and since then over 7000 companies have achieved a Queen’s Award.

The awards celebrate the success of exciting and innovative businesses which are leading the way with pioneering products or services, delivering impressive social mobility programmes or showing their commitment to excellent sustainable development practices.

This year 225 UK businesses have been recognised for their contribution to International Trade, Innovation, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity (through Social Mobility).

24 of these businesses are in the Yorkshire and Humber region which is a great testament to the region and congratulations to everyone of you.

Since opening in 2015, the family run Technical Materials Supplier founded by Lee Perry and Chris Williams, has gone from strength to strength.

Our Export division has grown year on year and now accounts for approx. 50% of our overall turnover and we now supply our range of Nickel, Duplex, Stainless, Low alloy, Aluminium and Titanium bar, sheet, plate, tube, pipe and forgings into over 31 countries (and growing).

The last three years have seen a 1097% increase on sales in this area and we would like to thank all our international customers and suppliers for their continued support as without you this award and recognition would not possible.

This award not only recognizes our commercial strength but also our support of the local community with our Apprenticeship and Work Experience programmes and our support of students from local schools and colleges in opening their horizons to the world of engineering.

We are a local company here to support our local community, but with a global outlook.

Above all this has been a fabulous team effort and I would like to personally thank ever member of the team (past and present) for your continued fantastic performance.
